However, you can go to the Spokesman's Archives

Randall Yearout's Introduction of Chuck Baldwin
I see many supporters of the message of the Constitution Party here tonight. I know that many of you have supported us in prayer and in our campaigns and I just greatly thank you. I have a couple questions for you before I start, I was wondering how's that two party thing working for you? Is that going alright? And I want to give a condolence to you independent thinking people who don't really vote in primaries but wait till the general election, how's that top two primary going for you?
I was at a candidate forum in July and preceding the Congressional segment of that forum there were some judges that were there and one of the judges explained to the audience that our jurisprudence and government in general is no longer based on common law, but on statute law and I want to assert that that is the problem. The Constitution is our common law, and by and large, our government officials no longer believe themselves to be bound by our law or their oath to defend and support it. It is believed by those in government today that statute law trumps the Constitution. That is how we end up with government violations of the public rights, direct un-apportioned taxes on our property and labor, conduct of wars without congressional declaration, regulations which are strangling our economy and energy independence, surrendering the sovereignty of our nation for the benefit of international corporations, abrogating the control of our currency and coin to private banking families who aren't even Americans and don't share our view of law and government, forcing us to subsidize the needs of millions of people who aren't here legally, and criminalizing our moral conscience. We own these grievances, and more, for two reasons;
- We have leaders who are ignorant of our law, in which case they need to be replaced, or
- We have leaders who are subversive of our law, in which case they need to be replaced.
Out of either ignorance or subversion, this government is ignoring the system of checks and balances which have all but atrophied for lack of use in America. Read the Declaration of Independence again. Its grievances could have been written this afternoon. It is time for another revolution.
So why the Constitution Party? The Constitution Party is in one regard like the Marine Corps of the political world we take the Constitution seriously, we take an oath seriously, we look at violations of Constitutionally guaranteed rights by public officials as criminal acts, and we're looking for a few good men. 537, to start with, that would replace our House and Senate and two chief executives. Join us we are the nation's largest third party, and America's fastest growing. We need you to add your strength to ours, and help to steer our nation away from the increasingly freedomless place we are heading for. I believe Thomas Jefferson was right when he warned us that we indeed could wake up homeless on the continent our forefathers conquered.
But we don't have to if we vote for ourselves leaders who understand that our blessings of freedom and prosperity don't come from government and corporations, but from the rewards of Providence, and virtue and honor; and that our national stability has only ever been a result of our resolve to adhere to the rule of our Constitution. We have someone here tonight with us who understands this perhaps better than any of us. I have read Chuck Baldwin for years now, and without trying to sound clichi, he really does stand for truth, justice, and the American way. He is first of all a Godly man with a passion for America. He is the founder and pastor of a healthy church. He is a radio personality with his own show. He is a commentator with a superb Constitutional understanding of the underpinnings of American law and government and how that understanding should be applied to the many and varied workings of our culture, both societal and civil. That understanding is thoroughly documented on the Chuckwagon his archived commentary website. The man speaks his mind without needing to remember what he told to whom and when. He stands for principle over politics. It is my honor to introduce him to you now. His name is Chuck Baldwin, and he is this party's nominee for President of the United States of America.
