About this web site:
This site is formatted in HTML 4.01 Strict and CSS 2.1, which "should" enable it to be rendered correctly in most modern browsers. Let me know if any links are broken. Please contact me if you do find anything amiss.
The vertical menu system I'm using, I found at http://sperling.com/examples/menuv/. Thank you, Tedd Sperling! Using his vertical menu system solved problems I was having trying to get an older-style CSS and JavaScript-based horizontal menu to be the same width on IE 7 and Firefox 2. The older horizontal menu on IE was a quarter inch longer than the same menu rendered in Firefox. Go figure. On second thought, don't "Go figure.", your head will hurt too much. The people who write browsers and the CSS Specification are a LOT smarter than most of us <grin>. It also let me use a sidebar below it on the main page, and other pages where I needed to display event maps.
I've used many web editing tools to manage this site since I've taken it over, as I've moved from system to system. Right now, I'm using EditPlus 3.01 by Sangil Kim. Previously on Windows Vista and when I first rescued this web site from FrontPage, I used EditPad Pro 6.4.2 by Jan Goyvaerts's Just Great Software. When I was on a Mac (12" 600 MHz G3 iBook), I used skEdit by Sean Kelly. On PCLinuxOS 0.93, I used KDE's Quanta Plus, found in the kdewebdev package in most modern Linux distributions.
