Spokane County:
Institute on the Constitution
Continuing Education Classes
Tuesday, January 29th, at 7 PM
Spokane Valley Library
12004 East Main Avenue
The Institute on the Constitution will be resuming its monthly
Continuing Education classes. At this month's meeting we will view a
video presentation entitled, "Meet Howard Phillips, Presidential
Candidate 1996", and discuss the application of Constitutional
principles to present day issues.
In this video presentation Howard Phillips exposes many contemporary
political issues to Biblical and Constitutional light. Howard Phillips'
commitment to our nations Constitution compelled him to be perhaps the
only man who, while serving as head of the Office of Economic
Opportunity, sought to abolish his own department. After President
Nixion reneged on his promise to abolish the department, Howard
resigned his position and has been a champion of the conservative cause
ever since.
This video presentation will stimulate our thinking as to the
application of our nation's Constitution to current issues and serve as
a spring board for the discussion of how to apply sound principles in
the political realm.
PS. While on the topic of Presidential candidates, Michael Peroutka,
2004 Presidential Candidate on the Constitution Party ticket, now has
his web site up and running. For materials, information, and Michael's
views on the most current issues, visit www.peroutka2004.com.
