Effects of Washington's Revised Primary System on Third Parties
[Due to host scheduling conflicts, "Examining Our Public Servants' Oath of Office" will be presented May 24.]
We had Rob Chase of the Libertarian Party give an overview of the new Washington Primary system: "the modified Montana Primary" and Paula Eblacas of the Green Party, a specialist in the primary system, give a in-depth presentation of these effects. She also spoke at length about Initiative 318, which would repeal the primary election law of 2004 and replaace it with Instant Runoff Voting in the general election. We thank them both for their time and willingness to speak.
The Constitution Party of Washington State has no official opinion on Initiative 318 at this time; presently, we are researching the matter.
