Biographical Information
Family
Father of three, grandfather to four, Randall Yearout has been married to his wife, Holly, for 27 years. Born in Medford, Oregon, Randall grew up in a variety of Northwest locations. He made his home in Spokane in 1995. He has been in heavy equipment construction most of his working career. He now operates cranes for a locally owned crane service. Active in the community; he is a highly respected board member of Word of Life Community Church. Randall enjoys teaching the Institute on the Constitution class, spending time with his family, gardening and taking care of his small farm.
Voter's Statement
Of the hundreds of Americans I have spoken with about the problems facing our nation, there is nearly unanimous agreement that our leaders' lack of a proper view of the legitimate jurisdiction and role of the US government, whether by ignorance or design, is the main culprit.
When the territories organized into states with their own constitutions and laws, they became sovereigns, and outside the "exclusive legislative authority" of the US government. As your Congressman, my main goal will be to begin a restoration of the liberty and freedom that has been steadily eroded by the misapplication of federal authority into the affairs of the people of the union states. The main battlefront will be stopping the confiscation of your property through the misapplication of the US income tax laws onto your private labor. The economic stimulus this would provide for America would be enormous. The Constitution clearly prohibits unapportioned direct taxes by the US government. The Supreme Court has held over and again that 16th Amendment income is defined as the profit resulting from corporate privilege.
Another measure will be to defend against illegal immigration by prosecuting employers who encourage this practice and denying taxpayer paid benefits to non-citizens. The 3rd Amendment prohibits the quartering of our own troops in private homes. It's un-American to require us to quarter aliens in our corporate "home".
There are many other overreaches: judicial activism, monetary policy, etc. Congress has the power to corral them, just not the will with the present crop of incumbents. The Constitution Party is providing a place where men and women with an American view of law and government can repair; where principle rules over politics.
