How to File for Public Office in Washington State
All Candidates desiring to run under the banner of the Constitution Party of Washington are required to submit to the following process:
- Request a Candidate Application Packet by emailing us at: Candidate Application Packet Request, or by leaving a message with your email address or mailing address at: 1-360-339-4767.
- Make sure your party membership is up to date. If you are not a member or need to renew your current membership, you can do this online here: CPWA Membership
- Submit to an interview by the Candidates and Campaigns Committee. This will help the Committee to assure the State Committee that the candidate is of good personal and business repute and/or does not have a history which will interfere with a successful campaign.
- Be officially approved at the Spring State Committee meeting on 22 May 2010, tentatively to be held in Yakima.
A Candidate may start planning and preparing for his/her campaign as soon as they decide they wish to run, but they may not use the Constitution Party of Washington name until approved by the Candidates and Campaigns Committee.
